Memories of Scotland
I made this quilt a couple of years ago. I have been receiving lots of orders from quilt shops around the country who are starting to do this quilt as a Border of the Month. If your local shop isn't offering it get them to join in the fun or you can certainly get a pattern from my website. Inside the pattern you will read what inspired me to make this quilt. I will give you a little hint: My great-great Grandfather was the Coachman at the Stirling Castle in Scotland (Where the movie "Braveheart" was filmed). I am Scottish and very proud of my heritage.
I have been thinking a lot about family lately this is the first year without my mom and it has been different. My dad is so lonely, he was mom's constant companion and helper. I have learned so much these last few months and I treasure the time I am able to spend with my dad.
I have had a hard time getting into Christmas decorating this year but I am sure enjoying Pinterest and other blogs seeing all the festive decorations.. Thanks for sharing everyone!

It is a beautiful quilt. Enjoy each and every day while you can.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
It is very difficult to keep a happy heart with such losses; but do keep a happy heart full of wonderful memories and hope. Blessings and Peace.
I always feel the loss of my mother at Christmas. She turned home into a Wonderland. Enjoy your dad and your precious memories. Your quilts always inspire me! Merry Christmas Joyce!
I too lost my Mother this year. She lived with us for 33 years and she was 93 when she passed. I was so blessed to have her for 72 years of my life,, I miss her each and every day. She loved all my quilting .
