Time for a GIVEAWAY!

I can't believe I haven't blogged in so long. I am in the process of purchasing another home in St. George, Utah. I love it there. Here is a picture of the front of the house  and below is a picture of the kitchen and great room space.

I will have a few things to do before moving in. There is no fence in the backyard for the puppies. There is some painting and light fixtures to change. The previous owners have moved out so it will make it easier to do everything I need to before moving in.

I finally finished it!  The new Block of the Month will be named:
"Beauty All Around"

Leaving here in a couple of days for Florida (in August am I crazy or what?). There is a quilt retreat with some wonderful quilting friends. I think while I am gone how about another GIVEAWAY! Two winners. Two patterns each!
(Drawing will be on Aug. 27th)
I love reading all your comments. Let me know what your sewing or working on this summer. Fall will be here before we know it!

Fall always sneaks up on me, but it is my very favorite season of all!

Hope you enjoy your time in Florida. I don't think it really matters where you are, as long as you're quilting. I have a few BOM projects to finish up, and am also working on a modern-fabric patchwork quilt (pattern from Red Pepper Quilts) that I'm enjoying. Most of the time, I work with Civil War repro fabrics, which I love so this is a little outside the box for me.

Your new home is beautiful - I bet you are anxious to settle in. And yes, you are crazy to go to Florida now! My niece lives there and my brother just got back - he was glad to be back in Iowa - much cooler! But, have an awesome time with friends!

From the picture, your new home looks nearly identical to my SIL's which is in Hurricane. She often lets us use it - I'll only go in the spring or the fall - and we always have a great time exploring. Have fun in Florida!

I love spring the best, fall is next. I am working on a scrap quilt. Only 660 half square triangles along with plain squares.

I love your new Block of the Month, Beauty all Around. I finally finished Grand old Flag in time for the July Holidays, but is still hanging on my ladder. I enjoy looking at it all the time!

Love your new block o' the month! I'm working on an applique quilt of the month, and pretty much keeping up with it, so the last blocks will be finished by December. Then I want to put a complicated border on it! Love your quilt designs!

Congrat's on the new home. Moving is the best motivator in the world for purging, cleaning, changing. And the fun part of decorating.

I have been working on birthday gifts for my quilting buddies. 3 down and 1 more to go...

I don't think you're crazy for August/Florida, as I just came back from a family wedding in Destin! It was hot, but the breezes were wonderful! So now that the wedding is over, I have a great-niece's quilt on the long-arm, just finished my row of little sweets for a sew-along, and gathered fabrics for an eagle quilt I'm going to start. And every night I stitch a little more together on my Lucy Boston!
I love your patterns, and thank you for the chance!

I just found you through, the Woolie Mammoth blog. Yay!
I love when I find a great new blog to read. This summer I've been working on a log cabin table mat, that I've been doing a lot of wool appliqué and embroidery on. Wool appliqué is new to me, I'm enjoying it. Also my LQS's BOM, its been a slow sewing summer. ;-> Toni Anne

I have spent my Summer catching up on a few Sue Spargo projects. Hand stitching and embroidery are sure slower than a good machine pieced quilt!

Love your new BOM. The sashing is quite striking/different!

This summer I've been hand quilting some cushion covers, as we've been on the road most of the summer. Now that we're home and I'm reunited with my sewing machine I'm making a quilt top and table runner, too! sarah@forrussia.org
