Wonderful Weekend!

I spent the weekend at my family cabin. Loaded up the truck with supplies and three dogs! I took my dad and we had such a great time. He is so much fun to be with. You should hear the stories he tells. I always learn so much from him. It is hard to believe he is 87 years old. The picture of the quilt above was made several years ago. Don't you love Country Threads? I certainly do!

Here are a couple of new projects I am working on. I will need a name soon for this new project. I am trying to decide what I want to do for the next border. I just have to audition things before I can move on with the design. Above the little quilt is the Summer Block of the Week blocks from Primitive Gathering.

This is a picture of a tree outside the cabin. If you look closely you can see where Woody the woodpecker has made his hole. Every year I check to see if there are any new holes but I haven't found any.

It will be a busy week for Geoff's Mom. Off to San Francisco on Monday July 8 for a few days. I need ideas of quilt shops to visit. Then I am off the West Virginia to teach at The Woolen Willow. Where should I visit? Any thoughts? I will be watching for your comments. So glad you stopped by!

If you are going to be in Sacramento, Fabric Garden is a must see. Thimblecreek in Walnut Creek is wonderful too. Welcome to California!

I love that warm clothes quilt and simply have to make it for winter. I wish I could come up with some patterns half as nice as your projects as I decided to create my own BOM but have only come up with two blocks so far.

Thimblecreek is great as is Inbetween Stitches in Livermore. Both are great visits! Have a wonderful trip.
